Job Responsibilities

 

General HR Operations

  • Develop and implement a solid performance management system that will allow leaders to effectively manage their teams’ goals and action plans to achieve them
  • Develop and implement a well-defined sourcing, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding process for employees
  • Ensure that the company’s handbook on rules and regulations are well maintained and implemented by leaders and followed by all employees
  • Develop and implement relevant employee engagement and employee retention activities in partnership with Operations, that impact employee morale and addresses critical operations issues such as attrition
  • Address employee issues and labor problems in accordance with the company’s rules and policies. Handle employee relations concerns according to PH labor laws and represent the company in the unlikely event of filed labor cases against the company
  • Work with the third-party vendor in ensuring payroll is done efficiently and on time
  • Recommend and help design learning programs and talent development programs to ensure that the organization’s pipeline of effective leaders remains strong
  • Be the eyes and ears of the US leadership team in Manila and provide updates to the US leadership team

 

People and Culture Development

  • Provide big picture vision for the staff work experience, in partnership with the Leadership Team in the USA
  • Design projects and initiatives that drive the company’s culture and values across the site, ensuring alignment with the overall vision and culture of the organization
  • Ensures that the people and culture initiatives/projects are strategically designed to drive overall site performance and support operations in achieving its’ business goals
  • Serve as communicator to senior leaders in the organization about changes/initiatives that impact operations

 

Team Management

  • Accountable for the overall performance of the Philippines HR Team. Ensures that the HR team provides excellent customer service to all employees in all facets of HR
  • Strategizes and designs process improvement initiatives geared towards further enhancing HR operations
  • Acts as a mentor and coach of the Manila leaders

 

Financials

  • Assess projects and operational needs, with US Leadership Team, to help provide a budget needed for the team
  • Manage a budget for benefits and employee engagement

Job Qualifications

 

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant human resources experience in the BPO/shared services industry
  • Strong experience in general HR with functional expertise in employee relations/labor relations, performance management, and engagement
  • Learning and development background and experience, designing and implementing leadership training programs, is preferred
  • Must have the ability to inspire by example
  • A proven track record handling people and culture type of projects in previous organizations
  • A proven track record working creatively with impressive outcomes
  • Strong grasp of BPO/shared services operations or a customer-service focused industry
